Kürbisfest!

Nothing better on a painfully sunny 85°F degree Sunday than going out to the country to…buy pumpkins! Every September, we go to a local farm/market for Kürbisfest, a squash festival and pumpkin sale. It’s fairly similar to their plant sale day, harvest thanksgiving, and Good Friday fish feed: decorations, food, cake, games for the kids, sometimes music and handcrafts.

We were in and out before the real party got started, but we came home with a lot of pumpkins. Watch this space to see how I cook them this winter!
