The Freisinger Riviera Series

Please imagine a bunch of trite gallery signage word salad here: An informal study of timeless impermanence, the meaning of place in a cyber world, a body of work documenting personal rituals marking the passage of time, blah blah blah.

I am taking a Bad Handy Photo™ from the same place every time I take a walk in the woods.

2022

This started as a Twitter project, but my impressions there are going down nearly as low as the impressions of this blog, so I thought, “Why not do both?” (Devoted readers will recognize the phrase “Freisinger Riviera” from this very depressive photo post from the Eternal Lockdown.)

(It would be more impressive as Kunstaktion if each picture was taken every Tuesday at 1:43 p.m., but I stumbled into it kind of randomly, and–more importantly–I don’t want all the stress and strain of a standing public appointment. I don’t want people complaining when a photo is late or missing, I don’t want to feel shame when I’m too sick to go out in the damp, I want to feel free to go to the library on a Tuesday instead of having to be out in the woods.)
