September 2024
Once again, there’s nothing better on a painfully sunny 80°F Sunday morning than head out to a fall-themed farm market to buy pumpkins. There was a scheduling conflict with the Freisinger Volksfest this year, so we just rushed in, raided the barn, and staggered back to the car, struggling under the weight of our loot purchases. (I hurt my neck lifting an over-filled tote into the car. Lol.)

It’s a little different mix this year, with a new variety from New Zealand, and plenty of Lakota for pies. The four small ones are Zierkürbisse, not for human consumption, because It’s decorative gourd season, fluffernutters!
Stay tuned for all the excitement and flavor! (Lol.)
