Workmen in the house every day again this week–every room in the house, all day every day–but we have some minimum heat and it’s been warm and sunny. After a month of being trapped in the house, waiting around for updates, moving furniture, and herding the cat from room-to-room with one ear open, I’ve completely forgotten everything I was working on and planned for fall (except Kürbisfest 2024, but only because with the kitchen all messed-up there are pumpkins EVERYWHERE).
Then the keyboard on the laptop failed. Writing this with an old disgustingly-filthy oversized USB gaming keyboard Mr Radish kept in the basement “just in case” and I can’t find any of the function keys when I need them.
TL;DR: the horrors persist but so do I, for some value of persist anyway.
2 kg is always more carrots than I think they are when I buy the 2kg bag of carrots.
