Whatever

Administrative Nonsense

Twitter is currently refusing to allow links to my domain name, without telling me why. I have filled out their form and gotten no human response. I can’t even find a place to get a human response. So much for “transparency.” If you have an account there, please fill out this form. Thank you. I am in contact with my hosting service, and they have found no spam, malware, or hacker exploits. The only danger–as you already know, dear dedicated readers!–from clicking my links is boredom. Possibly hunger.

You have already noticed this: I added a cookie banner to comply with the new California cookie law. I do not collect data; I have no advertising; the only cookies should be whatever WordPress needs to deliver bad writing to your device. I felt free to ignore the EU law since my registrar and hosting service is in Tennessee, but now that Silicon Valley is messing with me, I have capitulated.

Sorry about that.

Along with my apology, please enjoy this photo of Emperor Friedrich I. Barbarossa that I took at the Freisinger Dom this afternoon.

March 2023

I’ve had a week or so to sulk about this; I’m very angry that they’re trashing my digital reputation and don’t even have the decency to tell me *why*, but this could be the kick in the ass I need to mirror some food writing on Substack, under my “real” name. And I’ve been doing some hard thinking about how I spend my time and use this blog. First conclusion: MOAR FOTOS.
