The Cursed Project Strikes Again!

After months of clicking on the website of the Patchworkmesse at Erding, the entry form for quilts was published, and I went through the box of Finished Objects to look for a few large-enough-to-share pieces to submit.

In the mix was The Cursed Project.

And I thought–hey, this is objectively one of the least bad things I have finished in the last three years. My signature reverse-hexies floating on a faced background quilt. People might enjoy looking at this.

I bought the background fabric in 1997…should have bought more.

The morning after I sent off the entry forms (the Scrapbag Flower quilt was going along, too), a work colleague that Mr Radish had met with the week before let everyone know he popped a positive result for the ‘rona.

A day later, so did Mr Radish. I had to email the Messe and retract my submissions, because due to local household quarantine rules, I would be unable to deliver and pick up the work. The Curse Of The Yellow Quilt claims me as a victim a third time.

I have since been sentenced to my own 7-day house arrest. Yay! I’m a statistic! It feels like the virus I brought back from Montreal in 2019 when Smokey died, except much milder. R was sicker, but through the worst of it. We’re fully stocked with cat supplies, Kräutertee, and burger fixin’s; if it doesn’t kill us it will just make us weirder.

So that’s that.
