First harvest of my Beaver Dam peppers.
So far, nearly 3/4 a pound, and there’s a lot more out there. How can I arrange for an eclipse every March?

Gave them the usual “feta and walnut” treatment and ate the whole tray myself.

Meanwhile, I have sewn a blouse out of Mousseline (double gauze, do not confuse with muslin). My second project from this designer didn’t fit right, so I used some ancient wisdom to alter the pattern. Mousseline is very hard to smooth flat to cut out, and very fragile if you have to remove a bad line of stitching. I hated it the whole time I was doing it, but the ancient wisdom worked, and maybe I’ll make another one, but longer and with pockets (and from a plain weave fabric).

It probably makes me look like my mother, but it’s comfy.
And did I mention it fits right?

This pizza is called Quattro Stagioni. Each topping (here ham, salami, artichokes, mushrooms; they can vary with the chef) represents one of the four seasons.
Normally, each season gets its own quadrant.
When they are mixed together so I get all four seasons in one slice, I call it Pizza Iowa.

Thank you! Come back for more jokes next week!

Our cable showed the Brewers game; Ryan Braun in the booth was the only good part.
I probably should have gone to bed at a decent hour instead.
