Instead of Easter at home, we took Mr Radish’s parents to a fancy restaurant in a former cloister in Bergen bei Neuberg an der Donau, where we have been before. There’s a lot going on with everyone’s health right now (prayers are appreciated) and we decided to let someone else cook for us this year. I had cream of Spargel soup, braised lamb with an incredible potato gratin, and a redonkulously fancy three-part dessert with six different fruits in the garnishes. It was meant to be memorable, and it was.

Monday was a holiday. We watched the Artemis mission until it was time to go to bed because I had to get up early to get zapped.

I’m gonna bust the stork saga out into a separate post. Pinkie-swear!

Finished this object and I think I want to mail it to someone.

The clinic where I get zapped has a fish tank with living coral and sea urchins.
The German word is “Seeigel”, or “hedgehog of the sea” and I find that more appealing.

The cute little house really is getting torn down.
Chatted with an older lady also walking by, also not a fan of the steril concrete cubes that young people prefer.

I definitely prefer having a 7 a.m. appointment to an 8 a.m. appointment.
Less traffic, different people, different things to see.

The first Osterzopf (Easter braid) was ugly and not baked through, so I tried it again and this one was much better.
The dough is similar to State Center Kuchen, if you replace the butter and cinnamon with almonds.
