First, some news: As you may have noticed, a couple of weeks ago I had a mammogram, and then last week I got a letter inviting me to come to a specialist in Dachau. There I was stuck into the hilariously named Mammomat scanning machine, and had a biopsy, which was sent to a laboratory in Munich and came back cancerous. I’ve got an appointment with an oncologist on July 8 in Freising. Since the weather forecast for Freising is roughly the same as the weather forecast for Hell’s back forty, I plan to spend this week waiting enjoying the local custom of moping around in darkened rooms.
Anyway, I might get dramatic about it from time to time but I refuse to make it my whole identity or use it as an ersatz personality. I am definitely using it as an excuse to eat more tacos.
Other than that, I didn’t do much this past week because an old orthopedic issue has resurfaced, and it makes me lazy. And grumpy. So grumpy.

At the garden center, where I was killing some time while Mr Radish had physical therapy.

Two other storks flew over as I was getting my phone out; it turns out storks will try to kill other storks’ babies if they’re left unattended.
Yay, nature.

Mostly I just want to complain about the software update on the phone making the evening and indoor pictures blurry.

This one used cardboard templates and hand stitching, like in the 70s (the 1870s), and took 9 one-hour History Channel shows to finish.

It’s five bears long, because Americans will use anything except the metric system.
