Last week–through no fault of my own–I spent a morning at Motorworld München, making bad blurry photos with my Real Camera™ and oohing over cars.
It’s a pretty cool concept: A giant historic steel hall previously used as a repair shop for locomotives by the Deutsche Bahn was remodeled with other outbuildings into a complex of high-end car/bike/accessory dealers (new and used) and auto services, restaurants, gift and memorabilia shops, and conference facilities.
The highlight of the facility is the glass garages for rent, which can be accessed by the car owners 24 hours a day with a new electronic entry system. Show off your baby to other gearheads without even being there!
There was a lot to look at, also some nice architecture for abstractions.
Some used cars for sale:
The Motorworld also displays cars they own:
Did I mention they used to repair locomotives here? They kept the four giant cranes.
Stuff to see everywhere you look!
I enjoyed the morning, and would go back again sometime.
