Motorworld München: Impressions

I can’t read it, either.
All images from August 2023.

Last week–through no fault of my own–I spent a morning at Motorworld München, making bad blurry photos with my Real Camera™ and oohing over cars.

It’s a pretty cool concept: A giant historic steel hall previously used as a repair shop for locomotives by the Deutsche Bahn was remodeled with other outbuildings into a complex of high-end car/bike/accessory dealers (new and used) and auto services, restaurants, gift and memorabilia shops, and conference facilities.

New and used cars for sale.

The highlight of the facility is the glass garages for rent, which can be accessed by the car owners 24 hours a day with a new electronic entry system. Show off your baby to other gearheads without even being there!

That’s an Amphicar on the first floor left.

There was a lot to look at, also some nice architecture for abstractions.

Some used cars for sale:

1960 Buick Guerra LeSabre Cabriolet
Didn’t write down the model for this one, sorry…

The Motorworld also displays cars they own:

There was no documentation on this one, but it is obviously a barn find from Darnley Park in Midsomer.

A gas pump from France.

Did I mention they used to repair locomotives here? They kept the four giant cranes.

Stuff to see everywhere you look!

This is how you get my attention.
Safety Car!!
Is this where I pee? There’s a language barrier…I don’t speak racetrack…

I enjoyed the morning, and would go back again sometime.
