Update 25 December 2020: I MADE IT!
It’s nearly time for Whamageddon! Rules below:

Last year I was knocked out of the contest on December 3, while I was having a beer in a cafe before a gallery opening. (Typing that in Lockdown feels like I’m writing a book report on F. Scott Fitzgerald.) This year, everywhere I go where music may be played is shut down or canceled. Thought I was going to nail it! And then this:

A suggestion that playing “Last Christmas” on repeat in public places will prevent people from hanging out in groups, and thus should be implemented as part of the Lockdown.
And now it is stuck in my head.
Totally serious, Mark Steyn’s reflections on the career and death of George Michael on Christmas Day, 2016.
