All the restaurants in Germany were closed in November 2020 by federal decree. I have been documenting the month on Twitter with the hashtag #LockdownKüche.
The inspiration for chicken wings for Sunday night supper was Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts, kickoff at 10:25 p.m. (I don’t know who won because I was asleep by halftime.) The chicken is baked because I am terrified of injuring myself with hot oil.
For the wings and drumsticks I used this recipe from Recipe Tin Eats, which annoys me less than other food blogs. The only thing I changed was adjusting the baking powder for the actual weight of chicken: Don’t use the full amount if you aren’t making the full four pounds of wings. Do the math and thank me later.
The Buffalo sauce is a commercial preparation muled over from America, and I hope I can go back before I run out.
The Ranch is a random from Pinterest. I replaced the milk with buttermilk because non-buttermilk Ranch is a crime against humanity.
