Stitching

Small Project: Handyhülle

I am somewhat dutifully quilting the Scrapbag Hex Flower quilt, despite realizing after about two flowers that I hate quilting in the ditch. So I am also dutifully procrastinating with some other stuff.

I have been carrying this phone around since June without incident, but I do worry about the glass getting scratched when I shove it in a bag with my house keys. Today I finally made a protective sleeve for it. The first time I made one–I’m not saying it was a loooooong time ago, but I was protecting a flip phone–I very carefully followed a tutorial from a Semi-Famous Art-Quilter, who I would like to give credit, but I cannot remember her name. Or her blog’s name. She did put nice buttons on the front of hers, though; this might be a clue.

Now I’ve done it a few times and it’s ingrained. Takes about two hours; less if you fuse the layers together instead of quilting, but I like the look.

And now, back to my ditch.
