Handy Fotos Der Woche

Week in Photos…eh, let’s call it 171

I haven’t been sure what day or week it is for awhile now.

Part of the reason is I have been staying up until 3 and/or setting an alarm for 2 or 3:30 to watch the NLDS. “The game on Tuesday” was really Wednesday morning.

Game 1 Sausage Race.

There was a harvest festival in the Marienplatz. I bought apples from a local farm.

Landsberg Renette is a variety that originated in Landsberg an der Warthe, back in the days of the Prussian Empire (it’s back in Polish hands and now called Gorzów), from a seed. More importantly, it peeled real easy, the seeds popped right out, and the core was relatively small. Would buy again.

The series wasn’t on television, so we paid 4,99€ for a month of live-streaming on one of the German sports channels, and so far its been a good investment. They broadcast the ground crew at work for a good ten minutes after the end of the post-game interviews of Game 2.
So relaxing.

Turned those apples into a pie.
Forgot to photograph the slices, but they held together really well.

Before you criticize the next photo, please know that I made and drank a pot of coffee for Game 4 instead of pouring a beer, and I was sick all day Thursday. It’s breakfast beers from here on out.

It’s 5 o’clock somehere!
(I hate all the sports-betting shit all over the game.)

The TV time is not wasted, I have been stitching diligently on The Beast, which keeps veering further and further out of my control.

Also using this time to catch up on podcasts I missed on vacation.
