The weather has finally improved; I can cook real food again, and I am wearing my wool socks. OTOH, I am not sleeping well. (Completely unrelated, the Brewers have had a bunch of 10 p.m. televised games. Completely unrelated.).

Brewers finally broke the Sportdigital+ Curse.

Worked on more Log Beauties blocks this week, including making this unit twice because I trimmed off the seam allowance. D’oh.

Lampionfest 2026

An annual event at the Biergarten Schlossallee (which doesn’t look anything like the crappy AI image on that page). Families drink until dusk, collecting lanterns with each Maß (or purchasing them separately). This is the first time we’ve attended this even under the new management, and it was a good time. Lots of kids running around, like Mr Radish remembers it from his youth. The party band on the stage played a lot of Spider Murphy gang and Volksfest songs; the food lines were long but the drink line moved fast; jeans-and-hoodie weather is the best drinking-outside weather.
