Meanwhile, I have sewn a blouse out of Mousseline<\/em> (double gauze, do not confuse with muslin). My second project from this designer didn’t fit right, so I used some ancient wisdom<\/a> to alter the pattern. Mousseline<\/em> is very hard to smooth flat to cut out, and very fragile if you have to remove a bad line of stitching. I hated it the whole time I was doing it, but the ancient wisdom worked, and maybe I’ll make another one, but longer and with pockets (and from a plain weave fabric).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This pizza is called Quattro Stagioni<\/em>. Each topping (here ham, salami, artichokes, mushrooms; they can vary with the chef) represents one of the four seasons.
Normally, each season gets its own quadrant<\/a>.
When they are mixed together so I get all four seasons in one slice, I call it Pizza Iowa.
