After seeing Val Kilmer as Batman<\/a>, I felt like rewatching the original Tim Burton film, and checked it out of the library. Had to renew it twice before I finally sat down to enjoy it. The healing power of laughter!<\/a>

Anyway, everyone’s seen this one, so just a few bits of trivia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First: I took this picture of Vicki Vale’s teddy bear, but look at her hands: She has normal human hands, with actual human fingernails. She maintained them throughout the whole film. This is an aesthetic choice from the costumer and\/or director: She’s a war photographer, 2025’s fake pointy demon claws would just get in her way. More importantly, brilliant and brave billionaire Bruce Wayne falls immediately in love with her JUST AS SHE IS. Acrylic and silicon were not necessary. So much kerfuffle over the electronics part of the transhumanist movement, but society has already mainstreamed–near to the point of requirement–pumping young women full of synthetic materials and gluing prosthetics to their hands for personal and professional success.
