We recorded the German commercial-TV broadcast of the Super Bowl, which was terrible, to watch the next day.
The German TV guys talked over all the pre-game festivities, and if we would have played our drinking game for real (take a drink every time the announcers mention Tom Brady, who wasn’t actually in the game or on the broadcast), we would have been dead by halftime.

The German “mystery box”<\/a> trend has reached Freising. For 12\u20ac you can get a package someone returned to an online merchant for a refund, that that the merchant has decided wasn’t worth the effort\/expense of paying the return shipping or unwrapping and stocking the item for resale.
The retailers and delivery companies sell them unopened to jobbers, who have learned that selling the packages unopened is more lucrative than unwrapping the merchandise and reselling it as baby clothes, or phone accessories, whatever it happens to be.
I’m only mad I didn’t think of this way to part fools with their money myself.
