The cold I was hit with last week is the species where every third evening you notice you are breathing fairly normally and are filled with false hope, until you wake up the next morning crusty, congested, and oozing mucous. Anyone know what this species is named? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After ten days of being sick, I was feeling good enough to leave the house and go for my forest walk. As I walked past the new elementary school, I noticed some new vandalism. It’s not the only of its type around the neighborhood–neither the shopping center nor the condo complex have made any attempt to try to scrub off or paint over the same marks on their buildings. Not that it helps, as you can see.

Don’t worry, nothing will be done about it–there’s been hate symbols sprayed repeatedly by the cemetery over the past year, accompanied by words from a non-EU foreign language. As far as I can tell, no one even bothered to file a police report<\/a>. It’s just normal here now.

History doesn’t repeat but it rhymes.
