How is it June already? Even though I hate going outside in the summer, I bought the famed gimmick 9-Euro Ticket<\/a> for unlimited travel on local public transportation. It’s been an epic disaster<\/a> in the big cities, and Freising’s rail destinations are pretty limited, but the city bus has a pretty good network. Or so I thought… In reality, my neighborhood is completely cut off on Sundays and holidays. During the week the buses out to the small towns go the wrong way! They bring people to the city for the day, then return them in the evenings. I need the other way around! Sigh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t worry. I *will* get my 9 Euros of value out of it. Just been a slow start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, since I haven’t been out much lately due to my gimpy leg<\/a>, I started slow: Sichtungsgarten Weihenstephan<\/a>. It is used for teaching young people who are pursuing careers in the gardening industry, but is open to the public April to October. I usually try to go every year in April when it opens, but last April it was locked down<\/a>, so I haven’t been there in a very long time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A *very* long time; they moved the bus stop, and there was a padlocked gate on the footpath with a nice overlook that I have always used to reach the garden, so by the time I got there I was very sweaty, and limping, and in a bad mood. And then I wasn’t able to get a beer and a burger at the caf\u00e9 because it was full of seniors on a bus tour; I ended up going home hungry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope the next adventure goes better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TL;DR: I took some nice pictures of flowers. Flowers I don’t normally see in bloom, even.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
