Week in Photos 111

The good news is this year’s summer Martian Death Cold only lasted two weeks. Plenty of problems, but dripping slime out of my face is no longer one of them. Woo-hoo!

My phone updated its camera software during the week, and now outdoor evening and cloudy-day shots look blurry because the software runs a bunch of “improvement” filters that I can’t shut off.

Took Mr Radish’s parents to see him in the rehabilitation; it was extra stressful driving with passengers instead of the radio.
There was an artisan festival at the Schloss.

Still life in Biergarten, Pfingstmontag.
A toddler who noticed my hat came up to me several times to show me things. Rocks, pretzels, toys. Now that’s an enjoyable conversation!

Added two new body parts to my collection of X-rays via the ritual performed periodically on women over a certain age. The radiology clinic is on the third floor of a post-war building in the Altstadt. Post-war not because of bombs, but because Freisingers tore down dozens of buildings in the 1960s and 1970s out of a slavish adherence to architectural fashion that started 150 years earlier and continues today–the uglier, the better.

Self-portrait in collection of Byzantine cross amulets.
Finally went up the Domberg to see the new exhibitions.
The collection of Byzantine objects is called „2.927 Dinge“ and I really like how they were displayed. This collection, from an art deal in Munich, doesn’t have the usual provenance art museums insist upon in this century, so they displayed the objects en masse.
Reminds me of me, and could inspire a new project if I can ever stop doomscrolling.
(The other exhibition I need to see a second time.)
